clack keeps nothing about you.
No account, no analytics, no ads and no tracking. Your count and settings stay in your own browser, and nothing about your chats leaves your computer.

The browser extension
On claude.ai and chatgpt.com, the extension checks one thing: whether the chat is writing an answer, which it tells by the stop button by the box you type in (and on claude.ai, the message it marks as being written). It doesn't read your messages, the answers or anything else on those pages, and it runs nowhere else.
All it does with that is tell clack's side panel, in your browser, that one of the two sites started or stopped writing. It sends nothing to us or to anyone else.
clack itself is inside the extension, its fonts too, so the side panel plays it from the extension's own files and loads nothing from the internet.
Its permissions are for exactly this: sidePanel to open clack in the side panel, scripting to start watching the claude.ai and ChatGPT tabs that were already open when you added it, and access to claude.ai and chatgpt.com for the check above.

What clack keeps
In your browser's own storage, on your device: your clack count, your settings, and how long you took to go back after your last 50 waits, so clack can show your typical return. It's never sent anywhere.
Removing the extension, or clearing the site's data in your browser, deletes it.
